Whitianga will host a vibrant new pop-up gallery and music hub this summer, offering a curated creative space for the local community and visitors.
Coromind ArtWorks Fest, located at 14 Coghill Street, will run from 30th November to 2nd February, showcasing five collaborative art exhibitions alongside live music, food, drinks, and plenty of creative energy.
“We’ve built strong connections with local artists over the years,” says Leo Magri, one of the organisers and part of the Coromind team. “This space is about celebrating those relationships and creating a safe, welcoming environment for artists to exhibit and sell their work while connecting with locals and visitors.”
Beyond the exhibitions, Coromind ArtWorks Fest promises a hands-on experience. The gallery will open daily from 10 am, offering workshops, live art demonstrations, and opportunities to meet the artists as they create on-site.
“With Coromind, we’ve always connected with people of all ages, and we wanted this space to reflect that. It’s family-friendly, interactive, and free for everyone to enjoy!” adds Magri. From emerging local talent to renowned Aotearoa artists, Coromind ArtWorks Fest offers an exciting programme with something for everyone.
