‘This magazine is a good read,’ I often hear. I know, I am. I’m made by your community, crafted carefully to stimulate your senses, enhancing the taste of your tea or coffee while you read me. Just don’t spill your tea on me! And if you do, it’s fine; I’m free. There will be another one just like me in the other cafe or shop near the sea. You can take me home if you wish.
You know what’s the coolest thing? Children also like me. I am colourful, and local artists paint my face every month. You call it a cover, and I don’t mind that. In this edition, I decided to be brave and talk to you. Yes, that’s me, the magazine you are holding. I wanted to do this to show you how good it feels to be heard. See? You stopped to read me. Thank you! Your words can also be here. A magazine for the community, made by the community. How sweet!
I am a positive person, I mean, magazine. I love to teach and inform. Excuse me if sometimes I am too honest and say something you don’t agree with. That’s fine. I listen to you and acknowledge you. Judgement-free! That’s how I think we should live and share the beautiful area we live in.
I am happy that summer is on its way. More people will read what I have to say. Well, actually, they will read what you have to say! Send me your story. And if you have a business, surely a cool business, hit me up, and I’ll spread the word about your mahi.
I am for all. Open and honest, I hope that you enjoy what I have to share. You can become a member of my whānau, the Coromind whānau, by joining our membership programme. For more information visit me online at www.coromind.nz. Accessibility matters, so on my website, you will find my audio version. Yes, I do care about you and will happily read all these beautiful stories for you.
Peace,
The Coromind team
