Coromind Artworks Fest: Sunday, 2nd February

Wrap-Up Party!

Live music by The banddotcom, Prisoners of War, Corrosive Moses and more to be announced.

Prisoners of War

Prisoners Of War is a thrash metal band with strong influences from the 80s and 90s. The current lineup consists of Reef Denton (rhythm guitarist/vocals), River Lloyd (lead guitarist/backing vocals), Zach Greenfield (drummer/backing vocals), and Vienna Blofield (bassist).

Corrosive Moses

Get ready to rock with Corrosive Moses, the explosive 3-piece garage punk-rock band hailing from Coromandel, New Zealand!

Join Stewart Pedley on vocals and guitar, Gabriel Johnston on bass and backing vocals, and Leo Magri on drums and backing vocals.

Having graced iconic festivals like Wellington’s Newtown Festival, Auckland’s Ding Dong Lounge cabaret, and Thames’ Green Room, this talented trio knows how to captivate audiences.

Currently recording their first album produced by the renowned Dave Rhodes, a prominent figure in Aotearoa’s music industry, Corrosive Moses is on the rise.

The banddotcom

“We as a band write songs that mean a lot to us such as the price of the food at the tuck shop or living in paradise … apparently. We really just write about topics that affect us as being 15 and 16 year old high school students and the best genre to show this emotion about these topics is punk – playing distorted guitar, having a loud drum beat and the bass lost through it all and shouting as loud as possible.”

Commodore65

Commodore65 consists of Joshua on keys and vox, Phil on bass and vox, and Jessica on drums and vox. Their shed-punk vibe blends punk and garage elements with a healthy dose of retro gaming nostalgia.

Their lyrical themes cover a wide spectrum – from delving into deep mental and emotional experiences to taking jabs at politicians, poking fun at trashy TV and being really tired!

DJ SunRay

Rachel Johnston, aka DJ SunRay, is all about positive energy and empowerment, skilfully integrating the lively strands of reggae into her life.

SunRay always puts a big emphasis on playing femme vocals and Dancehall from around the world.

She has a big love for deep, heavy, funky bass riddims (Jamaican Patois pronunciation of the English word ‘rhythm’), especially Dancehall and especially on a sound system.

It’s an experience to feel the bass vibrate through your body.

Songs are a collaboration of exceptionally talented musicians and as a DJ, SunRay loves to showcase those collaborations in her sessions. When it comes to preparing for a set, she says that music has flow; she rolls the waves and selects the songs on the spot, based on the ‘in the moment’ vibes.
