Coromandel Peninsula Youth Photography Competition 2023

A photography competition specifically for youth, and even better, youth on the Coromandel Peninsula.
As a photographer I am want to engage with youth who are involved in, or interested in photography by way of running a Youth Photography Awards & Exhibition for anyone under 18 who lives on the Coromandel Peninsula.

For those who don’t have cameras, most have a phones capable of capturing an image, therefore making this accessible for the majority of youth in our community. I have long felt that most photography competitions run nationally lack a specific youth focus or category. There are a number of very talented youth involved in the Arts on the Coromandel Peninsula and I would love to see their views.
Entry is free to those under 18 on 30 November 2023 and live on the Coromandel Peninsula and images entered must be taken in 2023.

The themes are:
 Portrait
 Street / My Community

And the age groups are:
 11 years & Under
 12 – 17 years

Entries will open on 1 October 2023 & close on 30 November 2023
We have a wealth of experience & knowledge in portrait & street photography with our 3 judges:
 Shelley Harvey, BPSA
 Lia Priemus
 Karen Moffatt-McLeod, APSNZ

The Top 3 in each category & each age group with have their images printed and exhibited (Venue TBC).
There will also be an online presentation of the entries available for viewing so everyone can see the entries.

Would love to be able to offer some prizes if there are any sponsors out there who would considering donating.
