For the 2nd consecutive year, a group of Mercury Bay Area School students took part in Creatives in Schools, a well-being initiative funded by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Ministry for Culture and Heritage and Creative New Zealand.

Alan got hooked on bluegrass music at age 14, and with his friend and fellow HCBB founding member, Paul Trenwith, learnt how to play bluegrass songs.
