The CoroCine Film Festival is back for 2025, shining a spotlight on Coromandel’s growing community of filmmakers. From 22-24 August, the festival will light up MTC-Mercury Twin Cinemas, Whitianga with a curated three-day programme showcasing films made by, about, and for the Coromandel.

Owned and operated by Phil and Natalie Keogh, along with their daughters Poppy and Isla, Craft Haus has quickly become a favourite for both locals and visitors.

At the start of this year, the Coro Classic brought its third edition to Matarangi, solidifying itself as a go-to event for an audience dressed in vibrant colours and ready for a good time on a perfect sunny day!

Hey, I’m Emily Brickwood, a 17-year-old girl from Whangamatā. I play rugby and love to dance, but my favourite sport is skiing. I have been skiing since I could walk and come from a family where everyone loves skiing and we spend as many winter weekends as we can at the mountain. Some of my favourite things about skiing are: there is always a new challenge, the terrain is constantly changing, and being lucky enough to spend time with family or friends while doing something we all enjoy.
