They say Coromandel is good for the soul and I reckon the lovely Rapaura Watergardens at Tapu are good for the soul and the heart. With 64 acres (about 26 hectares) of native bush, lush gardens and delightful waterfalls, it’s a welcoming haven for those needing rest or some space and time with nature.
Hazy and the Jays is a dynamic alternative pop/rock band based in Thames, New Zealand. The group features Izzy Fitzsimons on lead vocals, Harris Elliot-Hogg on guitar, Jacob Rush on bass, and Jacob ‘Sticky’ Wenhold on drums.
Over the summer of December 2024 and January 2025, the Coromind ArtWorks Fest took place in Whitianga, marking a milestone for us as our first physical space.
I’m aware my paintings are quite eclectic and varied but I actually enjoy mixing it up and painting in a style that complements my purposes for each piece.
I liked the sound of classical songs, but I had no notion of becoming a ‘proper’ musician. I knew I didn’t have the patience to truly master it, and decided at university that it was likely a hobby I’d keep casually on the side.
