I’ve known Navi Dhillon for a few years now, and we’ve often connected over our journeys in Whitianga and how we came to call it home.
We are delighted to be partners for the Coromandel Open Studios Arts Tour, a wonderful annual event that celebrates the vibrant artistic community in and around Coromandel Town.
For many years, the Coromandel Town area has had a reputation as a notable centre for arts and crafts in New Zealand. Talented artists are often drawn here from other areas not just for the beautiful views but also the lively art community. Every year since 2006, many of these artists have been opening up their studios on the first two weekends of October, for the Coromandel Open Studios Arts Tour.
Driving Creek is thrilled to announce that Ngā Kaihanga Uku (the Māori Clay Artists Collective) and friends will be returning to Kapanga to rekindle their long-standing relationship with Driving Creek.
Ashley’s journey began at the age of 12, when his parents launched a commercial pottery in the early 1970s.
