Sunflower Glass Studio – Summer Workshops 2025/2026

Sunflower Glass Studio is opening its doors for a new season of hands-on glass workshops, running through December and January. Held at their fully operational studio at 15 Haddon Crescent, Whitianga, these classes introduce you to the art of glass fusing, using a kiln and a beautiful range of materials to create your own handcrafted piece.

Participants will learn how glass works together, with the chance to cut glass or work with pre-cut pieces as you design your own masterpiece. These sessions make for a great creative outing and the perfect way to craft thoughtful, handmade Christmas gifts.

Workshops are suitable for ages 6 and up. Children aged 6 to 12 must attend with a paying adult. You’re welcome to book as a group of six or come on your own. If you have a particular time in mind, simply get in touch with the team.

All materials are provided.

Due to kiln firing and finishing processes, projects take around 2 to 3 weeks to complete, though Christmas decoration classes will be turned around as quickly as possible.

Each class has a maximum of 6 people.
