POEM

Beauty

Just the little things in life
Mean the most to some
The thing that makes you smile
Makes you remember
Makes you want to see more
The beauty we all hold inside
The beauty in a smile
A flower, A sunrise
Beauty is life
Life is Beauty

By Denise Allen

Song Lyrics

Blister

I could wait, forever
But would anything change
I could put on a sweet face
But they would see I’m lying
Oh they’d see I’m lying
If you could make room for three
Why couldn’t ya make it for me

Oh why could you not make it for me
You walked away forever
Said you would listen to everything
You’re just sitting on your pedestal waiting

For the time to tick away
So stay
Dream your life away

Dream your life away
You’re just the dime in the debt Upholding promises and more

Broken history on the floor
And it’s Blistering
Like a fish in the bowl
Why are we swimming without soul

And I’m stuck inside this frame of mind
Blankets hang over you
I’m just beating myself with a hit of a dose
I ain’t got a thing on you

You told me, to take break
I’m just cooling my head in the waters
We all make our own mistakes
So stay

Dream your life away
Dream your life away
You’re just a dime in the debt
Upholding promises and more
Broken history on the floor
And its Blistering

Save
Save me
Would you save
Would ya save me

Save
Save me
I don’t want to chase
Somebody else’s dreams
And it’s Blistering

Blister was a song written about that transition phase of teenagehood into early adulthood. From school, we are pushed into directions that we may not always want… Who knows what they want by the age of 18? Some of us went into career paths that just weren’t for us and we soon realised that. Often many of us chase our parents’ dreams to make them proud and fulfil a certain role within the family. But the truth is you have to set out on your own path and figure out what’s going to make you smile each day. We are currently deep in the process of producing this one, and we can’t wait for everyone to get their ears around it!
